ARK InkBook ("InkBook", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your information.
2. What We Collect
Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, display handle, and location (if provided). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
Booking Data: When clients book appointments, we collect their name, email, phone number, and booking details. This data is stored to help artists manage their appointments.
Consent Form Data: When clients submit consent forms, we collect health-related information, personal details, and digital signatures as provided in the form.
Payment Data: Payments are processed entirely by PayPal. We do not store credit card numbers, bank accounts, or other financial information on our servers.
Usage Data: We may collect basic usage information such as pages visited and features used to improve the service.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and operate the InkBook service
- To display your booking page and flash gallery to potential clients
- To facilitate appointment bookings and deposit payments
- To store consent forms for your records
- To send service-related communications (if applicable)
- To improve and develop the platform
4. Where Your Data Is Stored
Your data is stored using Google Firebase services (Firestore and Firebase Storage). Firebase infrastructure is managed by Google Cloud Platform. For more details on Firebase's security practices, see Firebase Privacy and Security.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data may be shared only in these cases:
- With Firebase/Google Cloud as our infrastructure provider
- With PayPal when you process payments
- If required by law or legal process
6. Client Data
Artists are responsible for how they use client data collected through InkBook (booking info, consent forms). Artists should inform their clients about data collection and handle client data in accordance with applicable local laws.
7. Data Retention & Account Deletion
We retain your data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your data is permanently deleted:
- Profile information (name, handle, bio, location) — deleted immediately
- Uploaded content (flash designs, avatar images) — permanently deleted from Firebase Storage
- Booking records — permanently deleted
- Consent forms — permanently deleted
- Client information — deleted along with the associated booking records
- Payment records — PayPal transaction records remain with PayPal per their own retention policies; InkBook does not retain payment data
8. Your Rights
You can:
- Access and update your profile information through the dashboard
- Request a copy of your data by contacting us
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Request information about what data we hold about you
9. Cookies
InkBook uses essential cookies and local storage for authentication (keeping you logged in). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
10. Children
InkBook is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as we grow. Significant changes will be communicated to registered users via email.
